Dory's Story
Bravery in the unknown deep-blue, is a journey not many would take lightly. But Dory, a wide-eyed Blue Tang shows unparalleled courage and despite her short-term memory loss, she journeys across the ocean to find her long-lost parents.
Dory starts her journey but along the way she forgets about her parents and instead, stumbles upon a moody Clownfish called Marlin, who is also looking for someone - his son Nemo. The duo, strike up an unlikely, but lasting friendship. Dory helps Marlin, against all odds find and rescue his son Nemo. A year later, even though Dory lived a happy life with Marlin and Nemo, something was still missing; her family. A flashback from her childhood reignites her search for her parents, Jenny and Charlie.
Dory remembers that she got separated from them and with the help of her friends, Nemo and Marlin, she bravely embarks on an epic sea adventure to find them. Her journey leads her from the back of a sea turtle, to being chased by a Humboldt squid and being captured by conservationists.
She ends up in The Marine Life Institute, a conservatory that preserves marine life. She is quarantined and tagged but manages to strike a clever deal with a grouchy octopus to take her place.
After a long and difficult journey, she discovers a trail of shells and she remembers how her parents used to do this to help her find her way home as a young girl. She follows the trail and finds an empty brain coral with multiple shells leading to it. When Jenny and Charlie arrive home they are elated to see their brave girl! They tell her how they spent months laying down trails to help her find her way back home.
Despite her memory challenges, she persevered and her strength, zeal, willingness and determination enabled her to overcome her obstacles, find her parents and save them from captivity. They are reunited, with the extended family Nemo and Marlin at their side. The journey of what seemed like a lifetime, lead to a life of happiness and fulfilment.
